Richard C. Durfield, PhD, CFLE, a highly respected Professional Marriage Consultant, is known for his expertise in the areas of marital stability, divorce prediction and effective communication. Dr. Durfield, a former Associate Professor at Azusa Pacific University and has been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in two states. He is a Certified Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations and has received additional certifications as a JPEA Consultant, D.I.S.C. Consultant, Prepare/Enrich Consultant, and PREP Consultant. Dr. Durfield holds a PhD in Marriage and Family Studies from the Fuller Graduate School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Theology. He earned a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling from the C.P. Haggard Graduate School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University and has done advanced studies in Marital Therapy at the Gottman Institute in Seattle, Washington.
Renee Durfield holds an honorary doctorate and has earned wide respect as an international speaker and best-selling author. She and her husband have pastored inner-city churches for over 30 years and have experienced success in assisting couples and families who are struggling with some of the greatest challenges and pressures of urban life.
